(Resistive Touch Panel, FID1530 Series)
September 9, 2009 — FUJITSU COMPONENT LIMITED (Headquarter: Tokyo, Japan, President: Nobutake Matsumura) had completed the development of resistive touch panel capable of multi-input, cleared performance and compatibility authentication for "Windows Touch(*1)" devices for Microsoft's "Windows 7", and has obtained logo verification ("Compatible with Windows 7") with 6 inch panel(*2). We are the first touch panel manufacturer who obtained the logo verification with resistive touch panel in the world(*3).

Until now capacitive technology remains the mainstream of multi-input touch panel, but it requires to use bare-handed fingers or unique pens. Market has been seeking a new method capable of dealing with common situations, such as using globed fingers or standard pens. The resistive touch panel we have developed under our well established technical know-how built on our long history as touch panel supplier would satisfy such requirements.
Supplied products are touch panel body, control IC, control board, and driving software. In order to operate them as device for Windows Touch, both touch panel and either control IC or control board are required. Additional functions for further user-friendly operations, such as our unique position calibration function will be supported by installing driver software into PC.
Flash-surface service is also available. Panel size up to 7 inch is supported now, and 12.1 inch panel is under development.
As total solution provider for touch panel, we will proceed development of panels , device drivers, control ICs and control boards which are suitable for various requirements from the customers.

* 1) "Windows Touch" is the user interface for touch panel that is pre-installed in "Windows 7", which includes the function necessary to multi-input and so forth.
* 2) Product Name in the logo verification list is NC41120-0022 (special control IC parts number for FID1530 series). Product series name as a touch panel is " FID1530 resistive touch panel".
* 3) We are the first company who obtained the logo with resistive touch panel as a total touch panel supplier who produce and sell from touch panels to driver ICs (self-survey as of end of August 2009, based on Microsoft Windows Logo'd Product List).
