Case Study: Yokagawa ScopeCoder DL350

Yokogawa’s Award-Winning ScopeCoder DL350 adopted Fujitsu Touch Panel for superior noise free performance

Overview

Fujitsu Component's touch panel adopted by Yokogawa's award-winning ScopeCoder DL350

"The FUJITSU Component touch panel was one key component that perfectly matched our design concept."

Design Engineer at Yokogawa Test & Manufacturing Corporation

Customer

Yokogawa Test & Manufacturing Corporation is one of the core companies within the Yokogawa group and offers a wide range of products and services. The product lineup includes wide range of measurement instruments such as oscilloscopes, digital power and optical spectrum analyzers, optical time domain reflectometers, various calibrators, as well as related software and services for the electric energy, optical communications and industry automation markets.

Challenge

Yokogawa was designing a portable, compact and reliable data measurement system that is easy to operate when away from the office or lab. The scope coder DL350 needed an intuitive interface design for engineers in the field and perform accurately in noisy and harsh environments.

Solution

The company selected FUJITSU’s resistive touch panel over projective capacitive touch panels due to their superior noise free performance and intuitive operability.

Benefits

  • - Superior performance in environments with high levels of electrical noise such as motors and inverters
  • - Feather Touch resistive touch panels have input force similar to projective capacitive touch panels
  • - 8.4-inch touch screen allows intuitive operation by (gloved) fingers or stylus
